Would I be allowed to date this guy?

I'm a girl and I'm 15. I will be 16 in November, but theres this guy I really like and he likes me we almost kissed a couple times but he doesn't want to get into trouble he's 18. He became 18 after we met, he was 17 when I first met him.He was really nice and still is and I want this to work. We work close to each other and began hanging out on brakes and just keep becoming really close and my parents are ok with it but is the law ok with it is what I would like to know. I don't want him getting into trouble, that wouldn't be fair to him. So I would really appreciate any help. Thanks for the help! :)
