Rearranging my fish tank, help?

I have a ton of plants and some large rocks and some rock hide outs along with a log. I want to take it all out to re-arrange it.. I was going to remove it all and siphon all the gravel, then put some more large rocks in and set it up nicer. I have ghost shrimp, mollies, tetras (blackskirt and swordtail), a snail, and a silver tipped shark. Does it sound ok to do or should I do something first?
