Is the battery the reason why my lg xenon died?

I woke up a few days ago and my lg xenon phone wasn't working at all. It was working before I went to bed and had nearly a full battery. The phone won't even turn on and charging didn't work. I went to att and they said they didn't know what was wrong. I'm 95% sure it's the battery. What do you think?
