Why does my fish's poop disappear?

Whenever i siphon out my tank, theres always less poops in there then what should be. Im pretty sure im siphoning it out well. My tank has 4 platies and a betta and is a 10 gallon. Does it dissolve or is it dissolved by bacteria or something?
