How To Wire An LED Strip to Automatically Turn On with Ignition?

I have an Audi A4 and I'm already installing an HID Xenon lamp conversion. I grabbed a set of LED strips that are made to slip into the headlight frame around the housing. I've installed before but I did it hooked up to an interior on/off flip switch (I do not want that for this application). I also have done it tapped into the headlight/parking light wire so they both turn on (again, not what I want). I am looking to have them come on when the ignition is turned on like 'daytime running lights' and off vice versa. I dont want any other lights on except those during that time. How would you recommend wiring it? If I reversed the connection on the strip so it grounds when the ignition is on?... I dont know, I dont want to mickey mouse it, Its a 12V strip and I have an in-line 3Amp fuse on each wire. THanks for the help...
